What we’re doing to be more sustainable & reduce our carbon footprint:

Carbon Captured Paper

We are delighted to announce that to date, through the Carbon Capture® programme, we have helped contribute to raising over £2m for the Woodland Trust, funding the planting of over 519,000 trees and capturing over 119,000 tonnes of CO₂, with 100% of all the money raised going directly to fund woodland creation and conservation in the UK!

Thanks to the Carbon Capture® Programme, we are able to quantify and offset the CO₂ of all paper products where possible, from large format posters, right down to business cards.

Carbon Offsetting for Design

In addition to offsetting the CO2 of the paper we print on, upon request we can offset 1 tonne of CO2 for every hour of design work we do for our clients by contributing to Global Portfolio VCS certified carbon reduction programmes across the world via a range of products that include; carbon avoidance, clean and renewable energy generation, and many of the projects are within developing countries, where they also provide additional social benefits such as; biodiversity, education, jobs, food security, clean drinking water and heath & well-being.

Investing in high quality international carbon reduction projects, making your business get one step closer to carbon neutrality, and achieving your ESG goals. These carbon offset projects focuses on high quality using Gold Standard Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) certified credits, and all of these projects meet the stringent requirements of the Quality Assurance Standard (QAS) for Carbon Offsetting.

Packaging & Delivery

At Viro Print we make efforts to reduce any and all plastic from our packaging, using cardboard/paper boxes where-ever possible, as well as using eco-friendly water-activated kraft packing tape that is 100% recyclable and petroleum free, with no need for it to be removed from boxes before they are recycled, making it even easier for clients.

We are also able to offer local customers in Hampshire 100% emission free delivery on request via electric vehicle, and in addition to this, any shipments we send via UPS are part of their Carbon Neutral Shipping Programme, helping to further reduce emissions as a whole.

Energy

We make efforts to source the energy that powers our equipment responsibly, and as such our head office is powered by 100% renewable energy courtesy of Octopus Energy.
